BURN RESTRICTIONS UPDATE

Date: October 8, 2025, 12 PM



 With the National Fire Danger Rating System recently Changed to a "Low" rating, Mason County will be lifting all burn restrictions effect at 12:01 AM, Thursday October 9, allowing for Residential and Permitted Land Clearing Burns. Please note if you live in the Urban Growth Areas of Allyn, Belfair, or Shelton, Only Recreational burning is allowed. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Fire Marshal at 360-427-9670, extension 309.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

WITHDRAWAL OF TERRITORY FROM THE FIRE DISTRICT

RCW 52.08.011 and RCW 57.28.040

 

 

 

Notice is hereby given that on September 17, 2025 at 9:00 a.m., a public hearing will be held by the Board of Fire Commissioners of South Mason Fire and Rescue for the purpose of considering the withdrawal of territory from the fire district. This hearing will take place at 2970 SE Arcadia Road, Shelton, WA 98584.

 

The territory to be withdrawn is set forth in purple below:

The territory to be withdrawn is further described in District Resolution No. 213, which is available upon request.

 

If you have concerns about this matter and want those concerns to be known and considered, they must be presented at the hearing or by written comments submitted to the Fire Chief Gregory Rudolph at grudolph@smfr4.org. Written comments submitted less than two hours prior to the hearing will not be considered.
